Ben Suggs – Owner/DJ/MC

Ben has been a professional DJ/MC since 2003, but entertainment has been a part of his life for much longer. He grew up playing music, performing in plays, and telling jokes. After high school, Ben caught the radio bug, earning his degree in Broadcasting at Central Carolina Community College in Sanford. While in school, Ben began DJing at schools and nightclubs while gaining experience on air with various radio stations including G105 in Raleigh, 90.5 The Beat in Sanford, and 100.3 The Buzz in Greensboro.

After working with a couple established DJ companies around North Carolina, Ben and his college roommate Thomas began Southern Entertainment in 2005. Within the first year they began establishing repeat clients and expanding SE’s reach from their native Chatham County to all over the state and region.

Ben has done everything from weddings and birthdays to schools and fraternities. His high energy persona and interactive approach has made him a big hit at school dances and proms – while his professionalism and timing have kept him in high demand for weddings. In addition to running Southern Entertainment, Ben currently serves as Minister to Teenagers at Freedom Family Church in Liberty, NC where he lives with his wife Jenna and two daughters, Emma and Addie.
