Tom & Tracy | Asheville, NC Wedding

I can’t think of a better location for a fall wedding that the mountains of North Carolina. More specifically, Asheville’s Crest Center & Pavilion. That’s where we were for Tom & Tracy’s nuptials this past weekend. I was especially looking forward to making a weekend of the trip with my good friends Thad & Sarah Lawrence (2&3 Photography), who provided photography services for Tom & Tracy (and are responsible for the images in this post).

The Crest Center is ideal for those wanting to have their ceremony and reception in the same place. We began the afternoon on the deck, overlooking an explosion of fall colors in the valley below. Although it’s late October, there was a warm breeze that leveled out the mountain chill and made for a perfect ceremony atmosphere. Tom and Tracy made use of our Ceremony Package by having us set up speakers and mics on the deck and had us play a mixture of Yanni and Jim Brickman selections.

The reception began with bridal party introductions to “Party Rock Anthem” (a foreshadowing song for the throw-down to follow) and then I switched to “Walking On Sunshine” as we welcomed Tom & Tracy into the reception.

After dinner, they had their first dance as man and wife (an interesting choice: “Every Thug Needs A Lady” (Acoustic Version) by Alkaline Trio) and then Tracy danced with her dad for some of Tim McGraw’s “My Little Girl” before surprising him with Commander Cody’s “Hot Rod Lincoln”.

The whole night was a blast! As you can tell from the pictures; the guests were fun and energetic. All ages got involved at some point and the playlist spanned both genre and generation. Big hits included: “Friends In Low Places”, “Teach Me How To Dougie”, “Empire State of Mind” and “Livin’ On A Prayer”. The night peaked as we went into a set of requests from LMFAO, Pitbull, Daft Punk, and Swedish House Mafia.

The Maniaci and Hinman families were gracious hosts and it was definitely a pleasure to party with them all. Thanks guys!

PS – I couldn’t leave the weekend without quoting the incomparable Ron Burgundy:
